Meet NIKO!  This cutie is a 5-year-old (approximate), male, 17 lb Shih Tzu. Red Tick Coonhound.  Isn't she beautiful?!?  Henna is the sweetest thing!  She is a wee bit shy at first, but then warms up to be a lover!  Henna is great with other dogs, good on a leash, and housetrained.  She loves to go on walks and would be a fabulous companion for jaunts along the lake.  People literally stop to chat because of her darling red freckles and VELVET ears!!  Henna's favorite thing, though, is to curl up on the couch next to her favorite person. 

She came to us from a kill-facility in Indiana where she was dumped because her owner died.  Since she had such a lovely personality, she was there for months.  Finally, due to space, Henna was put on the Euthanasia List.  There was something special about her, so we snapped her up in the nick of time.  Henna is currently staying at a wonderful daycare, but she would LOVE to find her Forever Family or Foster Family soon!
